GMF Safety Inspection (TQY) conducted an offline Aircraft Maintenance - Safety Management System (AM-SMS) training for 20 selected personnel namely SAG Chairman (VP), Senior Manager, and Manager from Cengkareng and multibase areas. Mr. Andi Fakhrurrozi as CEO of GMF officially opened the training which held in Auditorium Hangar 4 GMF AeroAsia – Jakarta on February 13-17, 2023.

This training aims to develop new safety messenger, a selected persons who have sufficient safety knowledge and skills that are appointed by the SAG Chairman to perform implementation of SMS effectively and act as a Safety Role Model in his/her working area. The participants were given more complex and deeper material training than another Initial & Continuation SMS training based on ICAO SMS guidance materials. It consists of 7 modules such as, Basic Safety Management, Safety Policy and Objectives, Safety Investigation, Safety Risk Management, Safety Assurance, Safety Promotion & Communication, and Safety Action Group.

Mr. Andi said, “This training is an essential foundation to develop and maintain safety culture”. He also hopes that the GMF Safety Messenger become a role model for GMF employee to implement safety. "By increasing the safety level, hopefully GMF employee can identify and mitigate hazards, also minimize the incidents / accidents." he added.[TQY]
