On-site Audit by EASA

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency, EASA, conducted an on-site audit at GMF as the holder of the 145 Maintenance Organization approval. The audit was carried out on 19 - 20 June 2023 which was conducted by Grégory PLANCHARD as the lead auditor. The agency responsible for ensuring the safety and environmental protection of air transport in Europe.

During the current audit, the EASA auditor looked at demonstrating compliance with the implementation of EASA regulations in the Base Maintenance, Line Maintenance, and Component/Engine Maintenance areas. Aspects that are seen include facilities, personnel including certifying staff, equipment and tools, data maintenance, materials, and of course the implementation of work activities in the GMF area. In addition, the EASA auditor also saw the development of the hangar door construction, which is one of the EASA requirements for heavy maintenance implementation in the Implementation of Safety Management System in Part-145 Maintenance Organizations.

In general, the EASA auditors expressed their appreciation and noted that the audit results of GMF were generally satisfactory. However, Grégory PLANCHARD has given additional comments and recommendations for GMF improvement.[TQY]
