A leader that only understands certain aspects will not be able to run a unit well without being equipped with knowledge about safety management.

The role of management in terms of safety management at PT GMF AeroAsia has been set out in the Safety Management System Manual (SMM) part 1.2.7 Safety Committee. Further explained, the Safety Committee is representative of the management of PT GMF AeroAsia led by Accountable Managers and consists of Board of Directors (BOD) and VP Quality Assurance & Safety as their secretaries (Safety Manager). CEO of PT GMF AeroAsia as the accountable manager is the highest leader who has the role of take responsibility and authorize to carrying out safety activities in the company.

All leaders are representatives of management, so all safety activities must be monitored and controlled according to the scope of each leader function. Then a leader and subordinates must have the same views and movements to achieve the company's targets. It is necessary to review all safety activities that have been implemented. Remember, leaders who have strong personalities, will certainly be able to form a strong team and be able to achieve all the targets and challenges given.
