FAA Conducts Audits at GMF
- May 2021

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) conducted a renewal audit of GMF from May 5 to June 2, 2021. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the audit was conducted online by three auditors, namely Gugsa Yohannes (PMI), Steven Biglin (PAI), and Antonio C. Blas (PAI). The scope of the audited areas includes Safety Management System, Housing and Facilities, Tools & equipment, Personnel records, training, Contract maintenance, technical data, system records and another safety & quality aspects.

During the Audit process there were no significant findings. However, as a reminder that maintenance responsibilities are not only the responsibility of Technicians but also at the management level, especially the leaders. A good leader must make sure that everything is safe and not just make sure everything is done on time. In addition, an appeal for all production areas to monitor and ensure personnel who are carrying out maintenance activities (remove/install/inspection) to always use a valid maintenance manual as reference.
