The Directorate of Airworthiness and Aircraft Operation (DKPPU) conducted a Safety Audit for renewal certification of 145D-1 PT Garuda Maintenance Facility AeroaAsia Tbk. Safety audit was carried out on period 9 - 20 August 2021. The purpose of Safety Audit are not only as process for renewal certification of AMO 145D1, but also to ensure that GMF in carrying out maintenance activities as a holder of the AMO 145D-1 Certificate is in compliance with, in conformance with, and in adherence to standards, systems and technical procedures that have been approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.

The scope of the audit are includes Airworthiness aspect Approval, Manuals & Technical Publication, Training Program, Maintenance Record System, Facilities, Tools, Equipment, Part & Materials, Etc.), Safety Management System (SMS Implementation and Reporting System, Etc.) and Quality Assurance program (Quality Assurance Organization & Management, Audit Program, Etc).

During the Audit process there were no significant findings. However, the auditor recommends to always carrying out monitoring and supervision to ensure the pandemic and financial impact does not reduce the level of safety at GMF. In addition, coordination between department at GMF need to be improved so that the problems can be solved thoroughly.[TQY]
