Safety Management Review (SMR) is a formal evaluation by safety comittee of safety and quality policy, safety objective and safety goals to remain releveant to the organization. This management review led by accountable manager as a chairperson of safety comittee is to ensure that the SMS continues to be effective and suitale-fulfilling the changing and future needs of the company. It is also to ensure that Safety Performance Indicators (SPI) are well controlled. While the result of safety audit/surveys are reviewed and the status and adequacy of the effectiveness of SMS implementation.

Safety Management Review shall be conducted twice a year. It may be conducted along with Quality System Management Review (QSMR) as per mentioned in AMO Manual section 3.3.2. The SMR agenda includes follow up actions from previous SMR, SMS audit results, safety surveillance result, achievement of SPI, updating safety goals, safety objectives and SPI when necessary and also recommendations for improvement.[TQY]
